SPUNKY GIRLS (Davisson-J 2020)

Another season extender, SPUNKY GIRLS is consistently one of the first to bloom in my garden every spring. It is an 8 1/2" saturated purple with a darker purple band, twisting sepals, and a diamond dusted yellow throat. It is so strongly recurrent, it reblooms well into the mid-season bearing waxy blooms with rainproof and sunfast substance. Scapes are 33" with 3-way branching and 15 buds with new scapes bringing bouquets of blooms. It is easily fertile both as a pod and pollen parent. SPUNKY GIRLS is a tetraploid from crossing one of my unregistered seedlings: (GIMMEE GIMMEE GIMMEE X MICHAEL DAVISSON) X HAWKWOMAN with MAKE IT SNAPPY. It has hardy, dormant plant habit with unblemished foliage and clumps quickly
